Spring 2026 Soccer Tryouts & Placements—Register Now for December 6th
Join us December 6th, 2025 at Houston Dutch Lions FC for Spring 2026 team placements! Whether your child is an experienced competitor or new to soccer, we're hosting tryouts and open-house activities for all skill levels. We're building teams across multiple competitive levels from our STX CL Champions League (pathway to ECNL) down to Recreational In-House programs, so every player finds the right fit to grow, compete, and love the game.
Our competitive structure includes STX CL Champions League (elite pathway to ECNL), EDPL Players League (Division 1 & 2), and TYSA (Division 3). Evaluators will assess technical ability, tactical awareness, fitness, and mental toughness. Selected players gain access to elite coaching, personalized development plans, and high-level competition, but we also emphasize discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship on and off the field.
No experience? No problem. Our In-House Recreational Program is the perfect entry point for players new to soccer or building foundational skills. Our coaches provide a fun, structured, and encouraging environment where every child can thrive at their own pace. Whether your goal is college soccer, all-around athleticism, or simply enjoying the game, we're here to guide the journey.

What to Expect
At Houston Dutch Lions FC, we're passionate about unlocking the full potential of every player, whether you're taking your first steps in soccer or ready to compete at a high level. Our philosophy centers on Leadership, Integrity, and Respect, values that shape every player's experience, on and off the field.
For Our Competitive Track:
Our competitive tryouts are designed to identify players with exceptional technical ability, tactical awareness, physical fitness, and a strong mindset. Evaluators will assess how you handle pressure, contribute to a team, and show commitment to growth. Based on your performance, you may be placed in one of our competitive levels:
- STX CL Champions League — Our elite pathway to ECNL, for the highest-level competitors
- EDPL Players League (Division 1 & 2) — Strong competitive experience with excellent coaching and game opportunities
- TYSA (Division 3) — Solid competitive foundation for developing players
Players selected for our competitive teams gain access to elite coaching, personalized development plans, and high-level game experience. We emphasize not just soccer skills, but also discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship—traits that serve our athletes well on and off the field.
For Our Recreational Program:
We proudly offer an In-House Recreational Program that welcomes players of all skill levels and experience. These tryouts focus on placing each child in the right environment to learn, grow, and enjoy the game at their own pace. It's the perfect entry point for players who are new to soccer or still building foundational skills. Our experienced and encouraging coaching staff provides a fun and structured atmosphere where every child can thrive.
