Developing Skills and Building Confidence

The Division 3 program at Houston Dutch Lions FC is a perfect starting point for players who are passionate about soccer and want to develop their abilities in a fun, encouraging setting. This level is focused on foundational skill-building and learning game basics, offering a balanced introduction to competitive soccer.

  • Training Schedule:
    Players train twice a week, focusing on developing key techniques like passing, shooting, and positioning, as well as teamwork and game awareness. Each session is structured to support growth, encourage confidence, and make learning enjoyable.
  • Game Experience:
    While Division 3 does not include tournament play, players participate in the local TYSA Division 3 League. These competitive games give players a chance to apply their skills and gain valuable experience in a low-pressure environment.
  • Developmental Focus:
    Coaches emphasize individual improvement, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game, creating a pathway for players who may wish to move to higher divisions in the future.

Division 3 Select Program

The Houston Dutch Lions FC Academy offers a well-rounded Division 3 program for dedicated young athletes ages U11 to U19. This program is designed for developing players who are committed to improving their skills, gaining game experience, and building a strong foundation in soccer fundamentals.

Division 3 is a great fit for players who may not yet be at the competitive level of Division 2 but are eager to grow and enhance their abilities in a supportive, structured environment.

In the Division 3 program, players will focus on essential skills like passing, shooting, and positioning, while learning basic tactical concepts and improving their understanding of the game. Coaches emphasize teamwork, discipline, and confidence, preparing players for the next steps in their soccer journey.
