The Houston Dutch Lions FC, located in Conroe, Texas, is a youth soccer club dedicated to helping players enhance their skills and foster a deep passion for the sport. Our primary objective is to develop young athletes and help them achieve their maximum potential by implementing the highly successful Dutch soccer philosophy.

MISSION

Our mission is to develop young players to reach their maximum potential in soccer and create a unique family atmosphere amongst the players and parents within the club. The Houston Dutch Lions FC focuses on positive coaching to generate confidence in the young players that will last a lifetime. We are ambitious to teach the children all the fundamentals of soccer that they need to accelerate their soccer careers.

About

The club is operated by a Dutch family who shares a profound love for soccer. It is a part of the Dutch Lions Capital Group USA, which was established in 2009 by Erik Tammer and Mike Mossel. Alongside the Houston franchise, the Dutch Capital Group owns eight other Dutch Lions FC clubs across the United States.


Leading the Houston Dutch Lions FC franchise is majority owner Martin Kroeze, with the day-to-day operations managed by his sons, Dennis Kroeze and Robbert Kroeze. Martin Kroeze brings extensive experience, having served on the board of Eredivisie Club Willem II in the Netherlands for several years and holding the position of interim Technical Director. Both Dennis and Robbert Kroeze possess firsthand knowledge of playing for college teams in Ohio and hold MBAs in Business and Sports Management, further enriching their expertise in the field.


History

On April 1, 2013, the Houston Dutch Lions FC was formed by Martin, Dennis, and Robbert Kroeze, with a vision to cultivate a thriving soccer community in Houston.


On April 17, 2013, the groundbreaking ceremony took place for the state-of-the-art Houston Dutch Lions FC Soccer Facility, which became the club's home ground.


On September 17, 2015, the Clubhouse officially opened, creating a central hub for players, coaches, and supporters, fostering a strong sense of community.


On July 10, 2016, the Dutch Lions FC NPSL Team became the South Central Conference Champions in the National Premier Soccer League.


On May 17, 2017, the Houston Dutch Lions FC Soccer Facility hosted a memorable match against San Antonio FC in the US Open Cup.

On September 18, 2019, the club's Youth Academy surpassed 300 participants, reflecting its commitment to youth development programs.


On November 11, 2021, the U12 Orange team emerged as undefeated champions of the Eastern District Division 2 League, showcasing the club's dedication to nurturing young talent.


In 2023, the Dutch Lions FC announced their acquisition of four division 2 teams, solidifying their position as a force to be reckoned with in the soccer world.


In 2024, both our Division 2 teams (2013 and 2011) achieved the status of undefeated champions. The 2011 team has transitioned to Division 1 for the Spring 2024 season, while the 2013 team has progressed to the State Finals.
